A loving husband, father and grandfather; survived by his wife Jane; children Heather and Bruce Craggs of Caledon, Jeffrey and Jessica Ross of Baden and grandchildren Hillary, Sarah and Michael and grand doggy Tyson. Predeceased by his siblings Bill (Stella) Ross and Shirley (Bruce) Clark. Alex was a member of the Ironworkers' Union 736 since 1969; longtime employee of Lackie Bros., Nicholls-Radtke, BFC Industrial and Evans Industrial. Has been retired for 11 years, enjoying cottage life, travelling, family, friends and working in his workshop, "Alex's Playhouse". Memorial visitation will take place at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Friday, April 13, 2012, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. 69 years,former resident of Burlington, passed on April 13, 2012 in Kemptville after a three year battle with cancer. Born in Timmins, he moved to London to pursue his dream of playing hockey. There he met Connie (nee Kelly) whom he married.
They settled in Burlington to raise their two children, Dwayne and Leah. John, a proud member of Iron Workers' Local 736, continued to play hockey for many years with the Old Timers' league. Predeceased by Connie, he will be dearly missed by his children Dwayne (Tammy) and Leah (Brendan); his grandchildren Tyler, Ryan, Cait and Rory;

Peacefully passed away at the Brantford General Hospital surrounded by his family on Wednesday June 15, 2016 at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Sheri Henhawk. In his 73rd year, surrounded by his family, Roger went to be with the creator on April 23, 2017. Survived by his brothers, Sid and Alex. Roger will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and grand children. Roger worked all over the USA out of more than 25 locals and was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. Uncle Roger will be resting at his niece Renae's home at 3609 River Range Road after 5 p.m. on Monday.
